Spring is a time of renewal, a season that invites fresh starts and new beginnings. My boys, Luka and Logan were born during this period of awakening. And while 'riot' often suggests chaos and disorder, I use it to symbolize the transformative shift happening in the fashion industry. The name Spring Riot embodies a joyful challenge to outdated fashion norms, confronting the industry's reliance on toxic waste, cheap materials, and overconsumption.
With Spring Riot, I am committed to creating a collection of premium, healthy and comfortable underwear and clothing for children, perfect for sleeping and lounging, using natural materials that work in harmony with both our bodies and the planet. By selecting plant-based, regenerative fibers, I am making a thoughtful and essential investment in reducing the harmful chemicals that conventional garments often expose our skin to. My aim is to use materials that are not only healthy and breathable but also environmentally friendly and produced with integrity.
Spring Riot began with a simple goal: to find organic underwear for my toddler that was free from synthetic filling and harmful dyes. This quest led to months of studying the detrimental effects of artificial fibers and uncovering the thousands of chemicals used throughout textile production. Through this journey, I identified a significant gap in the market— few brands genuinely focus on producing children's clothing in a conscious, ethical, and sustainable manner.
I created Spring Riot to provide the safest and most comfortable clothing for our children, using only pure, non-toxic materials. This vision highlights the importance of treating both ourselves and our planet with dignity and respect. Inspired by the curiosity and wonder of children, Spring Riot encourages us to be present in our surroundings and make meaningful choices. Our elevated, yet unpretentious essentials are designed for easy living— because what touches our little ones' skin should be as authentic as they are.
